ONE EXCEPTION: iPhone and iPhone 3G/3GS.
AT&T does not offer coverage on all the models they activate. They also do not cover the Apple iPhones.
eSecuritel Wireless Replacement Device protection saves you from paying the full retail cost or contract termination fees in the event of a direct physical loss for only pennies a day.

Coverage Effective Date:
Your coverage effective date depends on when you enroll in the Cellular Guard / eSecuritel Wireless Replacement Service.
If you request enrollment for replacement coverage at the Point of Sale, activation of wireless service coverage begins immediately.
If you request enrollment for Cellular Guard Insurance replacement coverage at any time after the Point of Sale, eligibility begins on the 30th day following the enrollment date.
NOTE: Devices must be operational at the time of election.

- eSecuritel insures your Covered Property (one wireless device) for direct physical loss while in the possession of the authorized user so long as you remain eligible for coverage.
- Your coverage must be active at the time the claim is filed.
- An authorized user is defined as the account holder, the party that the device was placed into service for, or an immediate family member.
- eSecuritel covers risk of direct physical ‘Loss’ to Covered Property except as listed in the Exclusions.
- Lost and stolen devices, water damage, physical damage and vandalism are considered a direct physical loss.
- Your replacement device may be refurbished.
- You will receive a like or comparable model
- Upgrading is prohibited.
Coverage Limitations:
- There is a limit of two (2) accepted claims (lost, stolen or damaged) in a 12-month period.
- Claims that indicate dishonesty or fraud are not covered and subject to termination of coverage.
- External accessories that did not come with the device, this includes headsets, speakers, color face plates, cases, etc. are not covered.
- Antenna damage is not covered.
- Diminished batteries are not covered.
- Normal wear and tear is not considered a direct physical loss.
- Loss resulting from gross neglect or voluntary separation is not covered.
- Please refer to program exclusions.
How to File a Claim:
Call 1-888-794-7242 to file your loss within 60 days of the incident.
The eSecuritel representative will collect your information and provide instructions on how to obtain a replacement device.
If your device is Lost or Stolen, call HAWK Customer Care to avoid unauthorized charges and contact your local police department (where the loss occurred) to obtain a police report number.
eSecuritel Insurance FAQ's
Exclusions:
eSecuritel will not pay “loss” caused directly or indirectly by any of the following. Such “loss” is excluded regardless of any other cause or event that contributes concurrently or in sequence to the “loss”.
a. Nuclear hazard: meaning any weapon employing atomic fission or fusion; or nuclear reaction to radiation or radioactive contamination from any other cause. but eSecuritel will pay for direct physical "loss" caused by any resulting fire.
b. War: including undeclared or civil war, warlike action by a military force, including action in hindering or defending against expected attack, by any government, sovereign or any other authority using military personnel or other agents of insurrection, rebellions, revolution, usurped action taken by government authority in hindering or defending against any of these.
c. Government action: meaning seizure or destruction of property by order of government authority.
d. Indirect loss or any delay, loss of market, loss of use or any other consequential loss; an increase of "loss" caused by or resulting from the delay in repairing or replacing covered property due to interference, at the location of repair or replacement by strikes, other persons or any other cause for loss.
e. "Loss" caused by or resulting from insects, vermin, or other wild animals.
f. "Loss" due to voluntary parting (gifting, forfeiture or abandonment) of covered property by you or anyone entrusted with the property.
g. "Loss" due to claimed obsolescence including technological obsolescence of the covered property.
h. Intentional fraud, or dishonesty, including criminal acts, by you, and any of your authorized representatives, anyone you entrust with the property, and any of their family members. In addition, this includes any other person wit an interest in the property for any purpose, who acts alone or in collusion with others.
i. "Loss" caused by change in color, texture, finish, extraction or contraction of covered property, however caused, or any other damage to covered property that is solely cosmetic, however caused.
j. "Loss" caused by faulty repair, adjusting, installation, servicing or maintenance by any person other than eSecuritel or its authorized representatives, unless fire or explosion ensues and then only for the "loss" by ensuing fire or explosion.
k. Discharge, dispersal, seepage, migration, release or escape of "pollutants" into the handset.
l. Unauthorized repair or replacement by any person other than eSecuritel or its authorized representatives.
m. Preventive maintenance or adjustments by any person other than eSecuritel or its authorized representatives.
n. Use of the covered property in a manner for which it was not designed or intended by the manufacturer, or failure to follow the manufacturer's installation, operation or maintenance instructions.
o. Error or omissions in design, programming, system configuration, faulty construction, or any original manufacturing defect in any covered property, reflected through recall by the manufacturer.
p. Antenna damage resulting from carelessness, mistreatment or use for which it was not designed or intended by the manufacturer.
q. Nothing is the Agreement is intended to restrict the carrier or a customer from seeking coverage (including damages, replacement or refund) from the manufacturer or distributor of any handset under the original or any other warranty or purchase agreement, where or not excluded here.
r. eSecuritel reserves the right to deny any claim in the event lost or stolen equipment is not initially accompanied by a police report, or where a police report is not subsequently provided.
s. Any of the "losses" identified above will be excluded even if accompanied by another contributing event which, if occurring alone, any have been covered by this Agreement.
t. Claims due to diminished battery life.
Repairs:
If the damaged device is more than one (1) year old and is no longer covered under manufacturer’s warranty, and appears to be repairable, then Hawk will put the customer into a loaner device and send the device to our in-house Technical Repair Center. The repair cost to the customer is a flat $75 deductible for Smartphones/PDAs and a flat $35 deductible for all handsets.
Repairs Do NOT count against the customer’s claim allotment of two (2) claims in a 12-month period.
If the Technical Repair Center deems the customer’s unit as “non-repairable ”, then the customer should contact eSecuritel to file an insurance claim.
NOTES:
- If a device is less than one (1) year old, then it will be handled under the manufacturer’s warranty. It should NOT be an insurance claim.
- First the device is covered by OEM warranty.
- Next step is to Repair the device
- After above step, then Insurance replacement.
- Lost or Stolen devices REQUIRE a police report number to be given at the time of replacement, to verify information about the claim.
- Damaged by "incident" will require the details of the incident that caused the loss, inclding exact date.
